I'm an Assistant Professor at the Lisbon University Institute (ISCTE-IUL), in Portugal, and I currently teach the
following courses of the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies:- Introduction to Programming (1st year - 1st semester)
- Algorithms and Data Structures (1st year - 2nd semester)
I'm also an Artificial Intelligence PhD student at the Lisbon University Institute, with a PhD scholarship grant provided by FCT (Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology). My research focuses on Distributed Coordination in Unstructured Intelligent Agent Societies. My research interests are related to Intelligent Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, which are part of the wider research area of Artificial Intelligence, more particularly the creation of a synergy of intelligence by
combining the different, yet complementary, capabilities of multiple
autonomous agents. I've received a MSc
degree for my research work on agent technology for context-aware
execution of semantic web services, more specifically, the development
of SEA (Service Execution Agent), a semantic web services
execution agent that uses context information to adapt the
execution process to a specific situation, thus improving its
effectiveness and providing a better service.
