I'm an Assistant Professor and an Artificial Intelligence PhD student (with a PhD scholarship grant provided by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology) at the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies of the Lisbon University Institute (ISCTE-IUL), in Portugal.
My PhD work focuses on Distributed Coordination in Unstructured Intelligent Agent Societies. My research interests are related to Intelligent Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, which are part of the wider research area of Artificial Intelligence, more particularly the creation of a synergy of intelligence by combining the different, yet complementary, capabilities of multiple autonomous agents.
I also like to experiment with new technologies in an attempt to widen my general knowledge in the fast-pacing and ever-changing worlds of massive computation, human-machine interaction and Internet.
